Vintage Sterling Silver Condiment Set, 1967

This exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver three-piece condiment set consists of a salt, pepper pot and mustard pot.

The pieces of this fine vintage condiment set have a plain circular rounded form onto three feet, the pepper pot has a plain baluster form.

The surface of each piece is plain and unembellished, with an applied gadroon style border to the shaped upper rim.

The mustard pot is fitted with a C-scroll sterling silver handle with a leaf decorated thumb piece.

The vintage mustard pot has a hinged hallmarked plain domed cover.

The pepper pot is fitted with a push fit hallmarked cover with pierced ‘pepper’ holes.

The covers are each surmounted by a sterling silver cylindrical urn style finial.

The salt and mustard pot is fitted with the original, removable blue glass liner.

Each piece is supported by three impressive cast and applied paw feet, accented with an impressive lion mask design in junction with the body.

The set is presented with the original fully hallmarked salt and mustard spoons.

Condition
The pieces of this vintage condiment set are a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each piece, and the reverse of each spoon, and part hallmarks to the covers of the pepper pot and mustard pot are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
