This fine print is from a series of designs for the Ivy League Big Three, Yale, Harvard and Princeton. According to Hazard’s family, Harvard and the artist could not agree on the shade of Crimson so it was never printed.

Hazard intended the prints to be marketed to students and graduates. The Princeton design features a striking profile of the Princeton tiger and a snippet from the College’s school song. Her promotional ad in the Princeton Alumni Weekly stated:

Original, artistic, symbolic, expressive of true college sentiment. In color. Tiger head
conspicuous. Motto from the song ‘The Orange and the Black.’ Also Princeton seal.

A perfect gift for young and old Princetonians!
