Hand-crafted in richly textured 18K yellow gold and set with a cunning little diamond, this spectacular ring holds two sizeable South Sea Keshi pearls. Keshi pearls are technically cultured pearls because they wouldn’t have formed if the oyster had not been seeded. What happens is, the oyster is prepared with its bead but something happens and the oyster creates a pearl separate and apart from the bead-nucleated cultured pearl. Like a natural, uncultured pearl, a Keshi pearl is all nacre so these pearls have extravagant luster and beauty. The pearls measure approximately 11mm x 10mm, snd 11.51mm x 9.56. The tiny hidden diamond measures about .02 carats. The ring weighs just over 17 grams, so it’s a heavy, substantial ring.
The ring is a size 9 ½ and your jeweler could resize it for you. Some of the texture in the rear will be lost or perhaps replicated. But this happens with rings all the time. The ring ships with the artist’s original drawing.
