Fall Lights, original 24×30 impressionist autumn landscape

As the fall lights penetrate through the turquoise, apricot, green, gold and tan leaves, a feeling of unity with nature abounds. The use of heavy impasto layering of paint and bold brush strokes enhances the depth and beauty depicted in this original oil painting as you contemplate a brisk walk through the foliage rich path into the woods. Born and raised in Italy, now living and painting in New York, artist Bart DeCeglie studied at both Pratt Institute and the Phoenix School of Art and Design before returning to Pratt Institute as an adjunct professor. DeCeglie has also taught at both New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology and the National Art League when not at easel. The artist has selected an antique silver narrow frame with classic egg and dart motif and distressing to reflect both the transitional and traditional aspects to this impressionist autumn landscape.
